Lawyers of Color’s inaugural 40 Under 40 list will recognize outstanding law professors of African, Asian, and Latin descent, as well as Native Americans. These law professors may be tenure-track or contract professors; however, they must be full time faculty and 40 years of age or younger with titles, such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, etc.. Candidates must not be full professors. Law professors may be nominated by law school administrators, colleagues, or law students. Law professors may also nominate themselves. Law professors will be evaluated on both their pedagogical and scholarly achievement. Their work should be transformative, innovative, and impactful to students and demonstrate a commitment to racial and ethnic diversity. Nominations will be evaluated by Lawyers of Color’s Lead Fellows and advisers. Nomination deadline: Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
