Wonderful Women 2023 – Nominations
Nomination Deadline: March 23, 2023
Lawyers of Color invites nominations for dynamic women attorneys who identify as Black, indigenous, or a person of color. These attorneys may be public interest attorneys, senior associates, partners, or in-house counsel who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. Nominations from organizations are given priority; however, nominations may also be made by peers, colleagues, or clients. Organizations may nominate only one attorney per office and a total of three attorneys. Previous Hot List honorees may be nominated again. Nominees may not nominate themselves. Lawyers of Color invites submissions for the Law Firm Leaders 2023 Issue, which is a comprehensive listing of law firm managing partners, executive committee members, and practice group heads. This publication is intended to provide in-house counsel with a ready directory of attorneys of African, Arab, Asian, Hispanic and Native American descent who are legal experts, as well as decision makers within their law firms. These attorneys may be junior partners, associates or in-house counsel who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. Nominations from organizations are given priority; however, nominations may also be made by peers, colleagues, or clients. Organizations may nominate only one attorney per office and a total of three attorneys. Previous Hot List honorees may be nominated again. Nominees may not nominate themselves. Rankings & Comprehensive Directories
Our rankings and directories are based on data gathered independently and/or from self-reporting organizations. An example is our recently released Law Firm Leaders. This comprehensive listing of law firm managing partners, executive committee members, and practice group heads is intended to provide in-house counsel and other clients with a ready directory of legal experts. There is no limit on the number of attorneys from a particular law firm. Every attorney who meets the criteria will be included in this directory.
Individual Achievement Honors
Our “Lawyers of the Year,” “Lifetime Achievement,” and “Legacy” awards are focused on specific achievements of the honoree during the past year or career span.
Nomination Lists
Our nomination lists include Nation’s Best, Top Black Congressional Staffers & Lobbyists, and the Hot List. Nominees are given a rigorous and independent vetting review before concluding with a rigorous inquiry into attorney fitness.
There is not, nor has there ever been, any obligation, financial or otherwise, to be nominated or included in one of Lawyers of Color’s publications. This includes our prohibitions against requiring affiliations, memberships, ad buys, and any other monetary or in-kind support.
